...I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty, the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:1-3
In Isaiah 6:3, the Seraphim (angels) exclaimed, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty!” They are praising God’s holiness and the overwhelming glory that fills the earth. Isaiah witnessed the Lord seated on a high throne. Have you asked God to help you see Him this way? When you comprehend the significance of this verse, you can’t help but be filled with reverence and worship. It’s incredible that Jesus, the Holy One, forsook everything in heaven to come to Earth and sacrifice His life on the cross for your sake! Why? Because He loves you! That should compel you to bow down at the knee. Join the angels in singing “Holy, Holy, Holy!” Prostrate before Him both in your heart and with your body. Raise your heart and hands to the Lord, who is high and lifted up! Be silent in awe of His presence. Worship the Lord Almighty and let Him reside on the throne of your heart.
I hope you’ll take the time to watch this YouTube video. Art and music possess the power to touch hearts and create an atmosphere of worship and reverence. That’s why the beauty of the altar at church (thank you, Jeanne Motley) and the praise of musicians (thank you, singers and musicians) are so important. From the altar, the Word of God is proclaimed (thank you, Jesse). As we gaze upon the cross, let us remember that Jesus bore the weight of the cross and rose from the dead. He is high and lifted up! Let us worship together and proclaim, “Holy, Holy, Holy."
