Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth... Philippians 2:9-10
Do you want a life-changing experience? Become a worshiper. Do you want to know God’s presence? Become a worshiper. Do you long for deep intimacy with God? Become a worshiper. In Psalm 95:6, it says, “Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” This isn’t just coming to church on Sundays; it’s a lifestyle of gratefulness and praise. Worship is what angels do, what Satan wants, and a major theme in the Bible. It’s why we were created, and worship draws us into God’s presence.
Worship is more than an act; it’s a lifestyle. It’s bowing at the knee and declaring “Holy Holy Holy,” but it’s even more. It’s living “Holy Holy Holy” in our daily lives. For me, it starts with waking up and greeting my Lord. I might pray, read scripture, journal, play the piano, or sing to Him. I look for opportunities to respond to His love throughout the day, as I clean, cook, interact, and work. This is bowing my life to Him in worship. I don’t do it perfectly, but I’m drawing closer to Him every day. What’s my love response to the One who has given all? I bow before Him every day—knees, words, attitude, work, pain, will. I bow ONLY to HIM.
Brothers and sisters, let us join in worship and kneel before our Lord, the Maker of all things. There is only one name worthy of worship, and that is Jesus!
